Default Elo rating31 Jul 2008 11:57 GMT1
What is the default Elorating for unrated players.
In an Eloregistered and rated tournament: If player A with a Elorating of
2000 plays a player without and Elorating, how should that game count
towards the rated players Elo rating. Is there a default value for the

This month only 30% improvement was possible but today a problem was
found and now the game plays Twice Stronger moves.
So now you will find a very tough opponent. I played a game between
Jester & Beginner Level and it took 73 moves to win against Beginner.

Beat by a Computer on eBay
Boy am I really pissed off. I have been trying to buy a particular
edition of a book for a year. Finally I saw one listed on eBay. So, on
July 8, 2008 I placed a most generous bid of $150.03 for the book.

Help Bot win the game by trapping a Knight with his Bishop. I went to
search for this line and found only people with low rating play Bc4.

I didn't feel too bad when mainframe computers could beat me.  And
when I got whipped by desktops and laptops...., well, they're are
strong as mainframes once were.  But it's harder to feel OK about
losing to the cell phone.  If the flashlight beats me, I might

Earliest Game score known from the New World23 Jul 2008 02:43 GMT2
Just curious as to what is known. There was plenty of chess before the
automaton came to the US, but I do not know of game scores. I have an

Question about Rare Coin Auctions20 Jul 2008 16:20 GMT27
A friend has a Dutch coin from 1646 that was found in a shipwreck off
South East Australia. It is a unique coin. No other has been found
like it. He believes it to be worth $90,000 because the same coin from
1645 is worth that. He wants to auction it on eBay.
