| I'm going after Goichberg next | 30 Nov 2006 19:34 GMT | 6 |
Bill Goichberg is a well known tournament organizer. But Bill does have a checkered past. He did many illegal things to advance CCA. I'm going to expose Bill soon because he's now against me. He wants to vote to recall my election victory. He thinks I'm immoral. I'll take down

| Lasker and Alekhine | 30 Nov 2006 17:13 GMT | 176 |
Hans Kmoch once told me that Alekhine was so fearful of Lasker that he avoided playing in any tournament with him from 1924, when Lasker, 54, won the great New York Tournament, until Lasker was in his late 60s. Records seem to bear this out.

| Questioning Silman's Advice | 30 Nov 2006 02:58 GMT | 21 |
Jeremy Silman advises against making threatening moves hoping your opponent will miss the threat, but the World Champion missed a one move mate. So I'm rethinking this advice. If the WC can miss a one move mate, who knows what my opponent might miss?

| How to be an 1800+ ? | 30 Nov 2006 00:37 GMT | 35 |
I'm a hobby chess player, around 1100, maybe less, maybe more a little bit. I want to improve up to 1800 (or more if it's possible, I just want to keep my target realistic).

| World champion??? | 28 Nov 2006 19:01 GMT | 3 |
Overlook a mate in one? I suppose one of those cases where a guy just crosses moves in his mind and not the board. ...Kg8 is dead equal. I guess Kramnik played that move in his mind and then oops!!!! EZoto

| "Professional Thinker" co-wrote the Chess Cafe Monthly Special ! | 27 Nov 2006 22:56 GMT | 4 |
I was just reading the blurb advertising Chess Cafe's monthly special. It's "How to Think in Chess" by IM Jan Przewoznik and Marek Soszynski. Chess Cafe credentials the latter as a "a trained professional thinker".

Rec.games.chess readers may be interested to know that today marks the 68th anniversary of the great AVRO tournament, which concluded on this date in 1938 in Amsterdam, Holland. This was the strongest tournament ever in chess history to that date, with the world's best

| Need a direction | 27 Nov 2006 13:02 GMT | 20 |
Chess attracts me, I am so passionate about the game. I can tell you the history of every piece and master. It is possibly the perfect game, the best game. I feel so strongly about it. Yet I cannot play myself out of a paper bag. My abilities fall short of my emotions of the game.
