| ChessMaster 10 lessons by Josh Waitzkin | 11 Jun 2005 00:07 GMT | 5 |
I am impressed with the ChessMaster 10 lessons by Josh Waitzkin. In my opinion these alone are worth the price of the ChessMaster program--and I haven't even gotten to the ones by Larry Christiansen or the "ChessMaster Series" section. Are there any similar quality lessons ...

| How to find tournaments | 09 Jun 2005 20:41 GMT | 3 |
I find myself, for the first time in years, without any family members at home for a weekend. I would like to drive to the closest available 1 day tournament. At one point in time, this would be easy; check the TLAs in Chess Life. Nowadays, many of the tournaments are not advertised ...

| USCF Ballot | 08 Jun 2005 23:47 GMT | 4 |
The USCF Ballot seems to be conceived with the idea of expediting fraud. The Ballots are not numbered or coded so that anyone with white paper and printer could print and submit an unlimited number of ballots to the Accountants who have assumed no responsibility for the integrity

| Anyone collects Bobby Fischer memorabilia? | 07 Jun 2005 17:47 GMT | 4 |
I have the July 31st, 1972 issue of Time Magazine which has a cover story on the World Championship match. I'm willing to give it to a bona fide collector for the price of postage. I won't give it to someone who will resell it.

| Most recent Kasparov-Karpov game - error | 07 Jun 2005 04:27 GMT | 2 |
This seems to be the most recent K-K game. The score seems to be a bit garbled, because 14...Ne5 loses a piece. Does anyone know the correct score? [Event "Reykjavik Blitz (Cat XV)"] [Site "Reykjavik, Iceland"]

| Another draw Proposal | 06 Jun 2005 19:12 GMT | 2 |
There are so many proposals regarding discouraging draws, but I have not seen any opinions on revival of some 19th century practices that seem reasonable. Some tournaments had in addition to the regular reward for 1st, 2d, 3d, ... a reward per game played, in which 2 players ...
