The latest bullshit from the US govt in the Fischer case21 Aug 2004 04:11 GMT14
It is complete bullshit for the US authorities to say that if they
accept that Fischer is no longer a US citizen (I put it this way because
he has already renounced US citizenship), this won't allow him to escape
prosecution.

2004 and 11 August 2004, have been posted at Bobby Fischer's website.
New Topic Required Please20 Aug 2004 23:58 GMT10
Every time I take a look at this forum "RJF" is mentioned somewhere at
least once, Heaven help us if the US ever has another world champion!
We will be doomed to another 30 years of speculative posting!
Of course I realise that I've just added to the "RJF" posting pile!
Why Nalimov's KrpKrp endgame doesn't exist?20 Aug 2004 20:12 GMT7
I have tried to download this kind of endgame from the Robert M. Hyatt
Site and similar sites with 6 pieces endgames, but i can't find it.
With the file Tbgen.exe or tbgenm.exe i can't create endgames more
than 5 pieces and i don't understand it, there are some endgames done
Was America's Greatest Chess Genius the Greatest Player of All Time?20 Aug 2004 19:48 GMT13
It's amazing: when you look at lists of the world's best chessplayers,
American players are rarely found near the top.  I suppose it's
because we've never been much of a chessplaying nation.
YET, when you look at the two truly great players the US has produced,

Spasski: Put me in the same jail cell as Fischer19 Aug 2004 15:01 GMT57

Moreover...
The web page also says that the organizers of Mainz could provide Fischer
with subsistence in that locality. That's really all that Fischer needs,
Easy Money: The Pride and Sorrow of Chess19 Aug 2004 14:43 GMT3
Lawson's bio of Morphy was priced new @ $20 U.S. and sells for $200
used.
It's a sellers market if any company will get permission and
republish, for instance I'm waiting to buy when affordable...!
America has "chess envy" of Fischer19 Aug 2004 13:29 GMT77
They always have, and they always will.
Fischer actually WORKED at the game.  He played sound openings, and sound
chess.  He studied all the time.  He wasn't lazy.
He was everything that our "talent" since is not, and they HATE him for it.
When Fischer's passport was provided to him in Bern19 Aug 2004 13:11 GMT6
Various people have speculated that Fischer's passport ought to have
been confiscated by US authorities in Switzerland, if in fact the
government had wanted to pursue a case against him.  But other
reporting has said that his mother was a Swiss Jew.  If she was born

Chomsky blasts Israel and her apologists19 Aug 2004 05:04 GMT15
And that includes the morally bankrupt Kasparov and all the Israely players
who were rightly banned.
They should by reading chomsky more often. Fischer maybe mentally ill but
his views on jews and America are correct to a large extent.
Ouch, Rustam K in Holland19 Aug 2004 02:53 GMT7
The new FIDE champion Rustam K participated in a Dutch tournament held in
the usual 9 round Swiss format. He fared rather badly, losing to Sasikiran
and a lesser known Dutch player, and landed in shared 21-43 place (of 245).
His performance rating is only 2476!
