Depth Fist Search and Breadth First Search and using array30 Sep 2007 18:36 GMT3
I just wonder if for DFS (Depth Fist Search), we don't really need an

Advice on Chess Computers21 Sep 2007 15:52 GMT2
I have a work colleage who wants to buy a Chess Computer. I have told
to him to buy a Chess Software for PC, but he told me that he wants a
real board to play. He has no ELO or ratings, and he is a novice

was a minor piece down.
I think ICC should implement something where after say 8 disconnections
Engine Breaking Positions06 Sep 2007 20:50 GMT4
There has been previous discussion of positions where different
engines give radically different results. I stumbled upon the
following position playing against Shredder10. And the post game
analysis was bizarre. I have never seen such huge values for the fail
ChessBase 8.0 Diagrams06 Sep 2007 17:25 GMT2
How do I enter text above (or below) a diagram I plan to print.  My text
would be short, on the order of "Beware the Pin."  I know I used to do this,
but not having used the program in a long while, I've forgotten how.  The
booklet is useless as far as I can tell.
Fritz UI "Not responding" with Rybka04 Sep 2007 13:28 GMT13
I just upgraded my CPU to a Core2 Duo Q6600 (quad 2.4GHz).  I am not
overclocking [yet] or doing anything fancy.  If I try and run analysis using
the latest Rybka (2.3.2a? ... I am not local to the machine to verify at the
moment) the Fritz UI will go "not responding" in pretty ...
