I want to tell you about my first experiences with Hiarcs 10. After using Junior 9 for one year I bought Hiarcs 10 a few days ago and ... what a difference ! I am not a strong player at all but I never got a good feeling about Junior.

I cannot see the Photorealistic 3D boards with Fritz9, it tells me "you need to install DirectX from the CD in order to use 3D boards". I did not install Directx from the CD because I already have DirectX 9.0c on my computer. After clicking on OK, it dipslays this ugly old 3D ...

I had been using Chessbase 9 for making html/javascript games from our chess club for posting online. The last couple of months I used Chessassistant 8 (it gives a many more options for the website visitor such as board size, color, chess font, etc.).

I got Fritz 9 for Christmas. I already have Fritz8. The Fritz8 engine is not included with Fritz9. Is there any way I can get it into Fritz9 so that I can play the engines against each other? I tried importing the UCI Fritz8 engine but it failed.
