There are onling game sites where players are using chess programs t play one minute chess games. There computer chess program play automatically for them, they just watch. Some claim to have auto play software, others claim to be using Fritz

I'm an old chess programmer. I probably wrote my first one nearly 20 years ago. (My first attempt was in BASIC in 82. Needless to say, that project was not successfull....[grin] Chess programming got put on hold until I got a compiler.)

As from last night www.chesslib.no and www.behind.chesslib.no are both history. However, chesslib.no is still alive - I am currently building a new chess portal - this time based on ASP and MSSQL.

I have downloaded a few of the six-piece table base files from Dr Hyatt's home page. Some other files have been split into two or more parts with the name being followed by a figure. I realize that they are divided because they exceed the maximum size of older file systems.

I'm intrigued to hear Chessbase will be incorporating new "analysis" features in it's Fritz line of chess playing programs. I think this is a welcome development because I find it's current set of analysis tools to be very limited.
