Which chess computer?31 Jan 2005 23:06 GMT3

Chess Assistant 7.1 and Chessbase Data CDs31 Jan 2005 17:52 GMT5
I am interested in buying the Chessbase "Big Database 2005"
It has around 2.9 million games and I am wondering if I can use it
with Chess Assistant 7.1.
I have used CA 7.1 with smaller Chessbase databases without a problem.

delete any old bookmarks and follow the links to the
Nalimov's at:

I have been reading a lot of material on the alpha beta search

best score at a given depth. I wanted to know how can one keep track of
the moves made to reach that score?

Rebel 12 (DOS)  refuses to run...28 Jan 2005 06:28 GMT6
I have recently downloaded the latest freeware version of Rebel for DOS

20M of RAM. The program just displays the opening graphics screen with
the hourglass and immediately exits with the message "Illegal ...
Mac Hiarcs strength26 Jan 2005 05:29 GMT3
Since this is the only strong program for the Mac and I recommend it, I
