| Game analysis | 26 Sep 2005 13:28 GMT | 8 |
I feel this game best reflects my current chess understanding - control the centre then attack the king. I am hoping someone could point out the tactical and strategic mistakes I made. And whether this style of play could get me to master strength (an ambition of mine).

The Kietzeritsky 5...d6 line of the kingsgambit have given me problems lately. People copy Shirov and get good positions. Even Fedorov have give it up, if I am not mistaken. Here is my suggestion for white. Other suggestions is very much valued!

| Two games against a weakened CSTal 2 | 23 Sep 2005 00:02 GMT | 1 |
My friend and I played these games against CSTal 2 (aka Chess Tal Classic) with the "reduce strength" option set to 1 (out of 50). Although that's the weakest setting, the engine still plays a pretty strong game. I ran a few games against Chess Tiger on my Palm set

| comments please | 19 Sep 2005 00:35 GMT | 12 |
This game I lost yesterday for the club competition. Both my opponent and me are rated around 1850. I didn't have time to analyse it with a program yet, but I'm looking for some general comments. On move 26 I refused a draw because I thought I had good attacking chances. Thanks ...

| 1. c4 e5 2. Nc3 Bb4 3. e3 Bxc3 4. bxc3 e5 | 15 Sep 2005 10:00 GMT | 10 |
I played this sequence of moves with black. I recognize 4. ... e5 is a bit weird, but it was a shock when I checked it with Chessbase online database and didn't find, in more than 4 million games, any one with this move order.
