Rob Most interesting is the fact that he only made Expert because the CFC added one point per game to each player's rating under 2200 active from 2004-2006 - else he would still be a lowly A player. According to the CFC, some players gained as many as 200 points from this rather dubious sounding adjustment. That is some really messed up futzing with the ratings - the USCF has never done anything to compare with that....... It's just a bit out of the ordinary. "Diehard" Bruce Willis stars, as do Samuel Jackson and John Travolta. A while back there were quite a few references here in rgc to a movie called L.A. Confidential, and I would say that this one is right up there with that one. Warning: if you are offended by sex, violence, and every conceivable sort of foul language/lewd references then stay away. In this case may I recommend: It's a Wonderful Life, starring Jimmy Stewart, and Lassie Come Home. Now, about the money: you don't have to support those Hollywood movie makers if you're clever. Just go to your local flea market or Goodwill store and pick up a copy on VHS for around 50 cents. Once you've watched it, turn around and re-sell the thing for 75 cents, and invest all your profits wisely. Now this is an area where I can be of some help, for just as I am an expert chess player, so too am I very knowledgeable about investments.
