We're seeing the end of serious chess as we know it.

Instead of "gens una summus", how about "no wall around the stall" ?

What was the excuse for those lemons of bad moves.  Kramnik missed
Kxf8, Topalov missed Rxg4+ etc, etc, etc.  What were those excuses.

It turns out that Topalov is not only
primitive but also vicious and stupid.

It is sad to see another top chess
player who believes that all means
are acceptable to win a chess encounter.
But then it's not chess anymore.

Kramnik has a plus life score against
Topalov. And they are peers (Kramnik
is younger 3 months and 10 days), thus
there is no excuse about that, about
one of them starting earlier or later.

Despite of this, and despite the fact
that Kramnik was and is The World
Champion, Topalov was not able to
show Kramnik any respect. He lulled
himself into a notion that because of
temporary difference of ratings he can
crush Kramnik.

The truth is that Kramnik had serious
health problems. Fortunately, he has
somewhat recovered, at least partially,
and enough to teach Topalov a chess
lesson. After all, Kramnik has wonderful
chess talent. So now Topa is Dopealov
or Downalov.

I hope that Kramnik, knowing the
Spassky-Fischer story, will simply
tell Topalov:

bye-bye Veselin, play in a sandbox.

About 35 minutes after the game should have started on Friday, Fide made
this report at their official site: "There will be no broadcasting of Game 5
moves as no moves has been made. Please check news later for details."
