I've just subscribed to this new turn-based chess server, and I must
say that it is worthy of attention. Graphics, tournament format,
browsing or downloading games, etc. are all well implemented.
They just started with a new team competition and, imho, their team cup
format is better implemented than most other team competitions I have
seen. Team matches are played on four boards (2 games each), and
winning teams advance to a higher level; for each game won, the team
gets classification points, the magnitude of which depends on the
"level" in which the game was played.
I'm mentioning this team feature, because I (and many others) have had
some bad experiences on a similar site, where they are unable to get
their team competition right, even though it is in existence for years,
and where the webmaster doesn't listen to the advice of
players/captains.
Oh, and it's quite affordable, even for a penniless Kirgyzian girl like
me: it costs nothing.

After seeing this post, I decided to check this site out. It's free,
which is a plus, and there's a rating system, which is always good. But
I've got a few complaints, as well. The interface is a bit weird. There
are definitely other sites that have better. And I have one opponent
who now has -1 days left to make his next move, and the server doesn't
seem to care. I emailed the webmaster to ask about that.
All in all, I prefer itsyourturn.com, even though it costs money if you
play too many games at once. For most people, the number of free games
allowed there should be enough.
